History of Manjakani:
Since thousands of years ago, human has been using manjakani widely as an ailment for women especially vaginal discharge as well as an antiseptic.
Quote:
"Manjakani when blended with water until sticky then apply onto the lips of vagina for half an hour long. By God's grace, tighten the shameful part."
This is written in the book of Traditional Malay medical practices by Ali Zulfikar titled "Dunia Nikmat (1954)". It is one of the few documentaries, reporting the indications of manjakani and those books are near to the extinction from the Traditional Malay medical libraries.
Based on the history records, India had imported manjakani from Syria centuries earlier. It is not impossible that the useful indications of manjakani in constricting vagina was gained from the Indian traders that came to Kedah or to Melaka 1000 and 500 years ago respectively. This is because the usage was the same as what found in the India ancient sex manual, Kamasutra in 250AD.
Yet, the written record about the miracle of manjakani in constricting vagina was discovered way back 100AD ago when Soranus, the Rome's gynaecologist of that age, wrote about manjakani in his Gynacology book. It was then the one and only reference book on gynacology until 16th century. In his book, he wrote "Grind the inner peel of the fresh mint, add in water and manjakani, then dry in the shady place. Apply onto the inner layer of the vagina before love making."
The goodness of manjakani:
- Encourages the contraction of the abdominal, uterine and vaginal muscles (astringent effect)
- Helps heal exteral tissue damage after childbirth (anti-inflammatory)
- Eliminates bacterial, yeast and fungal infections (antiseptic properties)
- Reduces the formation of melanin to prevent discolouration of the intimate area.
Warning: Pregnant women should avoid using this herb.
